Welcome, Recovery Advocates!
You have access to this page because you’re registered for Recovery Advocacy Day (RAD) with the WRA on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
This landing page has all the stuff you need to have a great experience at all-virtual RAD, including our agenda for the day, legislative priorities list and storytelling worksheet, Zoom backgrounds so legislators know exactly who they’re meeting with, and a list of legislative appointments by district. If you registered before the cutoff, you should have received most of these materials in the mail, but we’re including them all here just in case.
If you need to come back to this page later, the URL is: https://washingtonrecoveryalliance.org/rad2022/
We’ll start at 8am and have a “zoom room” during lunch .
We’ll be talking to legislators about our three priorities; closing tax preference for pharmaceutical warehouse distributors and funding the Recovery Navigator Program, 7% increase in Medicaid reimbursement rates for behavioral health workers and peer professional certifications.
Tips for Meeting with Lawmakers & Storytelling Worksheet
Review these tips and make a few notes about your story so you feel prepared before your meeting.
These are optional, but help visually remind legislators that you’re advocating for recovery with the Washington Recovery Alliance! (Not sure how to change your Zoom background? Check out these instructions.)
You have been assigned to your correct Legislative District group based on your registration information. Find your meetings with legislators here, sorted by district. **Please note: our team is still working hard to confirm appointments with legislator’s offices and this sheet will continue to be updated through Thursday morning. Check this page at the start of RAD on Thursday for the most up to date meeting information! (You can also find your district and view your legislator’s info here.)
Are you one of our Legislative District (LD) Captains? We have a form for you to share your notes with us here.
To get to the Main Zoom RAD Room:
Access the zoom link that you received from when you first registered. Its personalized and can’t be shared. If you can’t find this registration link, Zoom will be sending a confirmation with the link the day before RAD. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com. We will be monitoring this email closely before and during RAD.
Pro Tip: We’ll use Zoom breakout rooms so you can meet with the rest of the folks in your district. If you’re having any issues with breakout rooms, make sure you have updated Zoom to the most current version. Instructions for updating Zoom are here.
