Facing Addiction will be offering a Community Organizer training targeted to Spokane, WA (though all are welcome!) which will cover the who, what, why and how of community organizing and will walk participants through a community needs assessment to determine community goals. Facing Addiction will then help each community craft strategies and tactics to achieve their goals. The WRA will provide ongoing technical assistance as well.
The project will officially launch with a training on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 10:00am to 2:00pm – anyone interested in the project and in learning about community organizing is welcome to attend. Lunch, snacks, and coffee will be provided!

Who: Anyone with a passion for mental health and addiction recovery is welcome! The community organizing skills have universal application to whatever your passions may be.
